This year, everyone is watching the real estate market, which some might say it could crash any time by the end of summer. In case this happens, why not look into cutting some costs and build your amazing luxury home, faster, using shipping containers.
We always find great designs and ideas online, so this time we found a very cool idea of a container house, made out of six 40ft containers, which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 3 stories, and an amazing living space of 2776 square feet. The house is elevated from the ground, surrounded by trees, windows are leveled with the treetops and the balconies blend with the branches and large patios to relax, so it’s very well integrated with the ecosystem, with sustainability and recyclability. Made out of recycled shipping containers, the house, it’s 80% made out of recycled materials, it has a green roof that reuses rainwater, has thermal and acoustic insulation.
The coolest thing about this house it’s that it has no TV’s or Wi-Fi, so the most important rule when you would come to it, is to disconnect and enjoy nature, enjoy life , enjoy family and friends.
Another verry interesting feature is that the roof has a rainwater storage system to minimize the need for irrigation. The system provides greater thermal comfort inside and integrates even better with the nature around. The house does not have A/C, instead has cross ventilation and wide openings for air exchange, so it remains cool and comfy even in the hottest days.
This project using recycled shipping containers it’s not the first of it’s kind and it proves once more, that we don’t need expensive houses, just intelligent architects that can make good quality homes, with great aesthetics, sustainability and thermal comfort.
